Under Enquiry form you choose who can send you an enquiry or start a conversation about your listings. The default applies to all listings and your profile; you can set a different level for a single listing, for example for a high-value property.
- Everyone: anyone can send an enquiry, also without an account.
- Buyers with a complete buyer profile: only signed-in buyers who have filled in their buyer profile (buyer type, country, phone, budget, financing and time frame; for companies also the company name).
- ID-verified buyers only: only signed-in buyers whose identity has been checked by Stripe with a passport, ID card or driving licence and a selfie.
Visitors who do not meet your level do not see your phone number and WhatsApp on the listing either, so the level cannot be bypassed. Verified brokers and their team members can always contact you. Conversations that already exist are not affected, nor are buyers who answer your reply to their Off-Market request.
Buyers who do not meet your level see what is missing and can complete it straight away; the verification takes about two minutes and is free for them. Every stricter level means fewer, but better qualified enquiries, so use it where it really matters.
What "ID verified by Stripe" means
The badge next to a buyer's name in your inbox and conversations means that Stripe has checked the identity document and that the selfie matches its photo, and that the name in the buyer's account matches the document. It does not confirm financial means. For your own due diligence (for example under anti-money-laundering rules) you still request the documents you need directly from the buyer; we do not pass on any document data.
