Some brokers answer enquiries only from buyers whose identity has been verified - often for high-value listings, to keep out fake enquiries. You can verify your identity once, for free, under Account > Privacy settings or directly when such a broker asks for it.
How it works
- Make sure the first and last name in your profile are written as on your document.
- Click "Verify my ID", confirm your consent and follow the steps on the Stripe page: photograph your passport, ID card or driving licence and take a selfie. This works on your phone or on a computer with a camera.
- After a few seconds to a few minutes you are back on LuxuryBroker.com and your account shows "ID verified".
Your data
The images and the data on your document are processed by Stripe, not by LuxuryBroker.com. We receive only the result, the date, the issuing country and a coded check value of your name. Brokers you contact see "ID verified by Stripe" next to your name - no document data. You can have the verification deleted at Stripe at any time under Privacy settings.
If you change your name in your profile later, the badge disappears until the name matches your document again. You can try up to three times in 30 days; if it does not work, write to Support.
